Made in HimmerLand: England's Oliver Wilson wins first event in almost eight years
Britain's Oliver Wilson has won his most memorable DP World Tour occasion in very nearly eight years with a single shot triumph at Denmark's Made in HimmerLand.
Wilson, 41, holed two tremendous birdies on the back nine to complete on 21 under, in front of Scotland's Ewen Ferguson.
He putted from 66ft on the standard three thirteenth and from 64ft on the standard four seventeenth to card a four-under 67.
"All that I've done to this highlight revamp my game, I realized I could make it happen," said a sorrowful world number 745.
"I was so quiet there, I nearly partook in the last opening. It's unique."
Wilson's past success on the visit came seven years and 334 days prior at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in October 2014.
He has not recorded a main 10 completion on the DP World Tour since a tie for fourth at a similar occasion in 2019.
Wilson, who began the day in a four-way tie for the lead, added: "I'm so pleased with myself and I have an extraordinary group around me. There have been a few dull times and they've all stayed with me so this is for them too.
"I've been pulling from wherever I can to attempt to sort this game out and I don't believe I'm there yet, however I feel like there is a ton in front of me. I'm so satisfied to get win number two.
"I love this spot, I've done well here previously and my game's been moving in the correct course.
"In the event that you take a gander at my details and results - from the external thoroughly searching in - there's not parcels to yell about, yet there's been a ton of good stuff this year, I simply haven't had the option to assemble everything.
"I botched many opportunities today and hit it so great, I just remained patient and holed two bombs on the back nine and I get it was my day, however I felt like I merited it. To move past the line feels better."

Ferguson, looking for a third success of the time, began the day two shots behind the pioneers yet eagled the standard five eighth and birdied the fourteenth to make a two-effort lead and endorsed for a 66 to set the clubhouse target.
Be that as it may, Wilson's birdies on the thirteenth, sixteenth and seventeenth saw him retake the lead and he parred the eighteenth for the success.
